Silversea has announced the most comprehensive fleet modernization plan of the company’s[ds_preview] history. For more than 170mill. $ the Monaco-based luxury shipping company will renew the vessels »Silver Whisper«, »Silver Wind« and »Silver Discoverer«. Silversea will do especially appreciations of the public areas on board their vessels. The gourmet restaurants will receive a new interior and exclusive flooring. Also the expansion of the digital entertainment systems is planned including faster internet connections and interactive televisions.
On board »Silver Whisper«, the luxurious suites will be remodeled and the bathrooms will get a dark marble floor. The public areas, the newly tiled pool, and the elegant chaise longues promise stylish comfort on deck. The Restaurant and La Terrazza will present themselves with fine hardwood parquet and new furniture. The work is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2016.
The overhaul of »Silver Wind« in dry dock, scheduled for October 2016, also includes a renewal of the interior and the flooring in the restaurants. Technological updates of the suits including interactive television and a large selection of movies are planned as well as the complete renovation of the teak pool deck.
On expedition vessel »Silver Discoverer« a brighter and more modern colour should improve the atmosphere in the restaurants. Furthermore the popular outdoor barbecue area will be equipped with new furniture. The Discoverer Lounge will be transformed into a stylish lounge area, where to relax. New furniture will also characterize the Explorer Lounge, that includes the latest audio and video technology for presentations and excursion briefings.
