SSI, expert for Autodesk based solutions in shipping, has released a new[ds_preview] version of its flagship AutoCAD based CAD/CAM application called ShipConstructor 2017 R2. According to SSI, this release streamlines reviews and planning and provides dramatic productivity increases in HVAC modeling. Thus software representations of realistic HVAC parts have been enhanced and new export functions have been added. Users will now identify groups of structural parts more easily. Inlet and vane turn elbows have been included as new ShipConstructor HVAC stock parts. This feature enables more accurate modeling, increases manufacturability and streamlines processes by having these parts included in BOMs and reports.
